Office Relocation
Desks, IT, storage and archive moved out of hours and rebuilt to a floor plan, with everything labelled back to its owner and department.
We move whole operations, not just furniture. Machinery, stock, racking, workshop and office contents, MHE, fit-out and clearance — packed, transported and set back up so you are trading again fast. Temporary storage in the Midlands if the lease dates do not line up. Fully insured, fully documented, and discreet about who we work for.
Most SME moves fail at the joins — the removals firm won't touch the racking, the racking firm won't touch the stock, and nobody owns the inventory at the other end. We take the whole scope.

Desks, IT, storage and archive moved out of hours and rebuilt to a floor plan, with everything labelled back to its owner and department.

Stock picked, palletised and moved in a sequence that keeps you trading. Racking stripped out at the old unit and reinstalled at the new one.

Machinery, workshop contents, benching, tooling and MHE — decommissioned, moved and recommissioned, with lifting and access arranged.

A free site survey of both units, a written scope, a phased programme and a fixed price. Method statements and RAMS issued before we start.

We supply the crates, cartons and protection, pack the unit, load and run the vehicles. Insured throughout, single point of contact.

New racking installed and load-signed, stock located, and a working stock and inventory system handed over — not a pile of boxes on a slab.
Stages one and two cover the move itself. Stage three is optional and picks up where the move ends.
We arrive at the existing unit with the crates, cartons, pallets and protection needed, and we pack it — stock, workshop contents, office contents, tooling and small plant. Racking and shelving is stripped out and bundled for transport.
The new unit is laid out, the racking is installed and load-signed, and your stock goes into locations that make sense. We build the stock and inventory system at the same time, so the operation runs from day one rather than being rebuilt from memory over the following month.
Once you are in, the move stops being a move and becomes a building to run. Most of our clients have no facilities manager and no appetite for one, so we stay on under a facilities management contract — a single contractor holding the planned maintenance, the statutory compliance and the day-to-day reactive works across the whole unit, alongside the logistics support.
Lease dates rarely line up. You are out of the old unit on the Friday and not into the new one for three weeks, or the new unit is not fitted out yet and the stock has to land somewhere. We hold our own storage space in the Midlands, with additional capacity through our vetted supply chain when a move needs more than we can take in house — so the gap between two leases stops being your problem.

Palletised stock stored on racking and located properly, so it can be picked from or released back to you in the order you actually need it.

Open floor area for the things that will not go on a pallet — machinery, benching, dismantled racking bundles, fit-out materials and awkward loads.

Self-contained lockable units where you want your goods kept separate, or where storage is going to run on longer than a few weeks.
We are based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire — inside an hour of most of the Midlands and within easy reach of the M1, M6 and A14. For a business moving anywhere between the South East and the North, storing in the middle usually costs less and adds fewer miles than storing at either end.
Not just for moves. We also take overflow for businesses that are not relocating at all — seasonal peaks, a container landing early, or stock that will not fit until the mezzanine goes in.
An SME occupier rarely needs a facilities manager on the payroll, but the building still has to be maintained, inspected and kept compliant. We contract for it directly — hard FM, soft FM and statutory compliance under one agreement, delivered through the GB Group companies and our vetted supply chain. You get one contact, one calendar and one invoice instead of eleven trades and a filing problem.

The building fabric and the plant that keeps it working.

The inspections you have to be able to evidence.

Everything that keeps the site presentable and running.
A named contract manager who knows the site, not a call centre and a ticket number.
Reactive works answered against an SLA you set, with priority levels agreed up front.
All trades consolidated onto a single account, with costs broken down by discipline.
Quarterly reporting and a live compliance record ready for your insurer, landlord or auditor.
A relocation is never only a relocation. Something always needs disconnecting, stripping out, clearing, marking out or cleaning before the keys change hands. We hold an established supply chain of vetted specialist contractors, so these come to you through us — on one programme, one point of accountability and one set of paperwork, rather than four trades you have to find and manage yourself.
Decommissioning, transport and rebuild of racks, comms cabinets and network hardware.
Qualified disconnection at the old unit and certified reconnection at the new one.
Decommissioning, lifting, skating and recommissioning of production plant and heavy machinery.
New mezzanines, offices, partitioning and warehouse fit-out at the incoming unit.
Floor repairs, aisle and racking line marking, column guards and barrier protection.
Returning the outgoing unit to the condition your lease actually requires.
Licensed clearance of packaging, redundant fittings and end-of-life stock, with waste transfer notes.
Where the old racking will not fit the new unit, we will price it rather than skip it.
Alarm, CCTV and access control transferred or newly installed before you occupy.
Handover clean at the outgoing unit and a pre-occupation clean at the incoming one.
Independent inspection of the installed racking, with traffic-light reporting and a written record.
Racked pallets, bulk floor space and secure containers in the Midlands. See storage options →
Every contractor on that list is one we already work with and already hold current insurance and RAMS for. You are not sourcing them, vetting them or sequencing them around our vehicles — we are.
A move is the one day your whole operation is in pieces. It should be handled by people who do this every week.
SME Relocations · by GB WarehouseBig relocation contractors are priced for corporate estates and are not interested in a unit under 10,000 sq ft. We are built for the small and mid-sized business — a single workshop, a first warehouse, a growing fulfilment operation — that needs the move done properly without a corporate budget.

Professional services, studios and back-office functions moving between commercial premises.

Stockholding businesses where the racking, the stock and the pick faces all have to move together.

Workshops and light manufacturing with machinery, benching, tooling and materials to relocate.

E-commerce and 3PL operations that cannot afford to stop shipping while they change premises.
Our clients tend to be moving something they would rather not advertise — a full stockholding, a production line, a customer database, or simply the fact that they are moving at all. We work quietly and we keep the paperwork straight.
We do not name clients, publish their addresses or post their premises online without written permission. NDAs signed on request, and unbranded working where a move needs to stay quiet.
Written scope, phased programme, risk assessments and method statements issued ahead of the job — not produced retrospectively when someone asks for them.
Goods in transit, public liability and employers' liability cover in place, with certificates available on request. One contract and one point of accountability for the whole move.
Evenings, weekends and phased moves so the operation keeps running. We plan the sequence around your order book, not around our vehicle diary.
Described without naming names — which is rather the point.
